What is Africa 2010?
Africa 2010 is a group of individuals from Pocatello Partnering with Next Generation Ministries in Uganda, Africa. Our group will serve short-term missions focused on the medical and educational needs of the people in Jinja, Uganda. The local mission will direct our efforts to assist the families of Rock of Ages school and the surrounding villages,
Jinja, Uganda
The city of Jinja is located on the northern shores of Lake Victoria near the source of the White Nile River. The city population is approximately 82,000 with an annual household income of $100. As a nation, Uganda struggles with corruption,extreme poverty, HIV and malaria.
Our Focus
The educators in our group will be assisting the teachers at the Rock of Ages Preschool and a neighboring K-12 school. The medical team will assist at the only hospital in Jinja and travel into the neighboring villages to provide training and care.
